Karlatornet — Penthouses

Chevron floors in dark oak
The tallest skyscraper in the Nordics is located in Gothenburg. Seventy-four floors up, an extraordinary experience awaits, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city’s landscape. Here, the award-winning architects Andreas Martin-Löf Arkitekter have designed 12 penthouse apartments at an internationally high standard, developed by Serneke, where only the finest materials and solutions are used.
All windows stretch from floor to ceiling, and in several areas the ceiling height reaches eight metres. The chevron flooring adds further dynamism to the design with its clean lines, which together with the tall window sections create beautiful proportions and symmetry, tying the floors and walls together.
The dark oak floor laid in a chevron pattern creates an international and embracing feel within the otherwise restrained architecture. 303 Winchester is a dark brown, almost black finish treated with hardwax oil. The chevron pattern forms distinct visual lines depending on how the light enters the space, adding further depth.
