Villa P — Skåne, Sweden

Wooden floors and wall paneling in oak, 302 Skurusundet.
On a lakeside site in northern Skåne, a timber house rests quietly within the landscape. The house is designed by Krook & Tjäder and shaped with a calm precision, where every detail has been given the time it requires. The material palette is simple and honest—plank floors and timber wall paneling create a warm, cohesive atmosphere, allowing the surfaces to age gracefully over time
View towards the kitchen, where dark oak wall paneling ties together the home’s material palette.
Wall paneling meets the wooden floor, matching in both color and dimension.
The architecture is oriented toward the lake and the evening light. Generous openings invite sky and water into the rooms, while the house maintains a sense of shelter and privacy. Terraces extend toward the water, and a more enclosed courtyard creates a quiet space by the entrance and kitchen. Together, the house and garden form a cohesive whole, where the architecture moves subtly between light, material, and landscape.
Wooden floors and wall paneling meet a beautiful limewash finish.
